EXPRESS COURSES
ENGLISH - FRENCH - SPANISH
1 Level in 1 or 2 months
In addition to our Saturday courses, to Local Students we offer "Express Courses": six levels of French, English and Spanish, and at very affordable prices.
Each level may be completed in 1 or 2 months. The following course packages are available:

| Morning Semi-intensive Course : | 7.5 hours/week | |
| Morning Intensive Course** : | 10 hours/week | |
| Evening Express Course* : | 4 hours/week | |
| Evening Intensive Course*** : | 8 hours/week | |
| * | A mandatory 2-month registration in this program is required to complete 1 level. |
| ** | This program is intended for students who have less time to work at home or who require more assistance from a teacher. |
| *** | This program is intended for students who are interested in a rapid progress. They will complete all 6 levels in only 6 months. |

Beginner 1:

- Understand simple signs or notices
- Read directions and warning signs
Writing
- Complete forms that require simple or personal information
- Write notes and short messages
Beginner 2:
You will be able to ...
Listening / Speaking
- Express simple opinions about factual matters using like and dislike
- Ask for more general information
Reading
- Understand simple information on labels, ATM machines and on forms
- Read and understand short texts or reports on familiar topics
Writing
- Write short letters or memos
- Fill in most forms or applications
Intermediate 1:
You will be able to ...
Listening / Speaking
- Express opinions on more abstract or cultural matters
- Offer advice and understand instructions or conversations on familiar topics
Reading
- Understand factual articles in a newspaper or letters expressing personal opinions
- Understand the general meaning of non-familiar topics
Writing
- Describe personal experiences and points of view
- Take notes on familiar topics
Intermediate 2:
You will be able to ...
Listening / Speaking
- Follow or make a short presentation
- Keep up with a conversation on current events and other more abstract topics
Reading
- Scan texts for relevant information
- Understand detailed instructions and advices in articles or texts
Writing
- Take notes during a presentation
- Write letters expressing satisfaction or dissatisfaction and requesting specific information
Advanced 1:

- Participate with ease in a conversation

- Read at a good rate
- Read the media for information
- Understand complex issues and opinions expressed in serious newspapers

- Prepare letters
- Take accurate notes in a meeting

Advanced 2:

- Discuss complex issues
- Understand colloquial expressions
- Express opinions in a heated debate
Reading
- Understand most documents and reports, including finer details and the implications that it may contain
Writing
- Write quite accurately on concrete or abstract topics using good expressions
Courses will focus on grammar, reading and writing, as well as on listening, pronunciation and conversation.
